Float experience overview for couples
Couples float side-by-side in a large, salt-saturated tank where the water is kept at skin-neutral temperature (approximately 93.5°F). The high Epsom salt concentration makes floating effortless so you stay at the surface. You’ll shower before and after, use earplugs if desired, and control the lid and light—exit anytime. This setup reduces external stimuli so both bodies can relax without effort.
Guests frequently report feeling deeply relaxed and physically lighter after the session. Many couples appreciate the private, unrushed check-in and orientation we provide, which addresses first-time concerns. Some clients note small spa additions—like eucalyptus aromatherapy or a brief post-session biofrequency experience—that enhanced their visit, though individual touches vary by booking and preference.
Why extended ninety-minute floats
Ninety minutes gives more time to move past the initial settling phase common in shorter floats. The extra quiet minutes allow partners to reach deeper meditative states together, supporting prolonged nervous-system downregulation and a stronger shared sense of calm. For couples aiming to reconnect, the extended window permits mutual presence without rushing through the experience.
Choosing a longer session is a time commitment trade-off: it’s ideal for anniversaries, Valentine’s Day planning, or weekend relaxation when you can arrive without needing to rush. The service sees peak demand in February and December for these reasons, so book early if you plan a holiday or special-occasion float in Hermitage.
Booking, location, and preparation
Relax and Restore Float Spa is located in Hermitage, convenient off Lebanon Pike and near Percy Priest Lake. The float studio is in a private setting; some clients call when arriving so staff can let them in through the gate. Arrive a few minutes early for orientation—this allows time to shower and get comfortable without feeling hurried.
Bring very little: we provide towels, earplugs, and shower amenities. Practical tips from regulars include avoiding shaving the day of your float, removing contact lenses, and skipping caffeine before the session. If you plan regular practice, ask about our 4-session packages for better value and consistent results.
